The American School of Tangier is a non-profit organization, overseen by a Board of Trustees, with partner schools in Marrakesh (ASM) and Ben Guerir (ASB). AST is an Assisted Overseas School (AOS), meaning the US State Department provides direct and indirect support to promote our American-style program.
We have provided students with an exemplary American-based educational program since 1950. Our academic program represents the best of American education and provides the rigor to prepare students for future challenges.
The academic program is knowledge-rich and is articulated so that each student receives a well-rounded education in the liberal arts and sciences. We are also a creative community and our fine arts program provides students with strong foundational and performance skills. Social-emotional learning is woven throughout our program and focuses on shared values to develop cosmopolitan citizens, prepared to improve themselves and the world.
